Warandebus

The Warandebus used to be our own free nightbus to Utrecht. In the summer of 2010 we cancelled the service because there's great public transport available during the night.

Public transport
Use the Connexxion lines 412 (Thu/Fri) or 450 (Sat) to get back home until late! Timetables are available online at connexxion.nl or at every busstop.

The Waranbus History
In 1981 people on the complex thought it was not safe (especially for girls) to bike back from Utrecht during the night. Volunteers bought a bus and created this nightbus-service. Immediately there were some problems with taxi drivers, they were not amused by this 'theft of passengers'. After a few changes the bus was free for the people living at the Warande and we had to use the system with the Warande-card which has been used until the service was cancelled in 2010.
